Some first-time IAT-102 reminders
Welcome to IAT-102
Thank-you for joining the Fall 2025 version of Graphic Design (SD)! I — Andrew Hawryshkewich (your instructor) — am very much looking forward to working with you soon.
A reminder that our first class is on Wednesday, September 3 at 4:30pm in SRYC 3130. This is in the room across the hall from where we had our orientation this spring.
Preparing for our first class
Please set up your SFU email address. To do so, please search your non-SFU email address for the subject line Your SFU Computing ID is available. Please follow the instructions in this email to set up your SFU email address and computer access as well.
Once that is set up you will be able to access Canvas, the learning system we use that will be where you can view and submit your course assignments.
Otherwise no preparation is needed for our first class. Please just do your best to arrive on time and if for any reason you are held up or having trouble making your way to the room please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Have a laptop?
If you have a laptop and would prefer to use it for our software tutorials please feel free to bring it to class. We are short about three lab computers as the class is very popular this fall so laptop use would be handy (if possible).
Should you not have access to a laptop do not worry! We will make sure there are enough computers available for all by the second week.
Questions or concerns?
Of course should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email Andrew and I will respond as quickly as possible.
