To prep for our first class

First class

Just a couple of items to note before our first class this evening:

Please bring or borrow a laptop

We will be doing code tutorials during our class times. It is very helpful for your ability to practice and follow along if you have a laptop with you. If you do not have your own the SFU Library has laptops available for loan and they are open late enough that you can return them after our class.

Please have necessary software ready

We will talk more about it in lecture, but please have VS Code and either Firefox or Chrome installed for our tutorial this week. If you have another preferred code editor it will likely be okay as long as it does not permit 'drag-and-drop' style editing of the page.

Reading reflections

There have been a couple questions about these and reading reflections are meant to be completed in lecture. You can bring a highlighted copy of the reading to lecture if you would like, but the reflection itself will need to be completed when we have open/critique time. I will bring copies of the reading to class this week but in future weeks you will need to provide your own printed copy.

All other questions

I will ideally answer all other questions in our first class this evening, but if you are really needing an answer please email Andrew or message over chat and I will get back to you as promptly as possible.

Questions or concerns?

Of course should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email Andrew, email Mohammadreza, or message us over chat and we will respond as quickly as possible.
